I know now that I am going to expand further in my photography for both film and digital. Shutter speed is that little thing that can make or break your photo. I have his first book Understanding Exposure (brilliant book and I recommend it for everyone). Understanding Shutter Speed is my second book that I just purchased and already I am understanding more and more about shutter speed. Whether it is in film or digital the foundation is the same.
Book is organized well. Photos support his point. In fact I still have to go through this book several more time. Easy to read. Tremendous. His love of the art explodes off of the page.
Works from the end of being a coffee table book because of the beautiful photos, and from the end of being a text book, or a manual to take with one if one was not concerned about damaging it. Well now I understand why he is such a highly respected author. Clear, concise, tremendous photos. I already have purchased exposure book, and have not had the time to read it yet.
This is a great book on understanding shutter speed. I also have his other book on exposure, great ones to add to your collection.

I bought this book, as well as another one he wrote, and I love them both. Bryan Peterson is an awesome photographer, and an awesome author. Highly recommend.
